black white & red as a limited palette is bound to bring up very powerful themes. This trio is sacred and/or shamanic in so many various cultures that I'm sure you tap into collective as well as personal veins. Hope you are keeping some written notes as well - think it would be amazing to go back and read them all at one time - like a single creative essay.

Well Acey for the moment I am slightly overwelmed by these themes :o)

Keep at it, Helene -- this theme may well develop into a special body of work . . .

Oh, I'm excited to see where you go with this one.

My beading desktop is black, white and red (as you pointed out in a comment on my blog) and was made from materials gathered in the area of New Orleans, Louisiana. Your project reminds me of my little beading area.

All together, it leads me to thoughts of Marie Leveau

I just wanted to share that with you

Thanks for youe kind word KV and Grace :o)

It's an interesting link Grace.

Somehow I think I am afraid because I am getting more ambitious, I am afraid by the power of creativity...

Thank you for the comment on my blog. Even though I'm not participating in the current BJP, I keep watching your blog and am always enriched by it.

As for the economy--I find the fact that nobody seems to be able to explain it all the most frightening thing. We need to get back to real things.

You're doing beautiful work and still thinking deep and beautiful thoughts.

Helene- I was so intrigued by the comments you wrote about my pages that I had to check out your blog! Very interesting thoughts and musings on the color red, the shrine, the picture above your bed - I can't wait to see your BJP pages for the year - all in your theme of black, red and white - I think this is going to be very pretty!

Thank you for visiting my blog. I have tried to visit all participants in the BJP08, but had not come here yet. I found your posts interesting and enlightning. Isn't amazing how beaders from around the world have come together with a common bind yet we are all so different. Your spiritual references interest me as this is a part of my inner self that I have been exploring. Interesting.
