Update on October Bead journal Project

Let's keep smiling

Here is an update on my october page. I don't know if it's finished yet.

October 2008 will probably be remembered in History as "black October" or something similar since the World economy is now rocking seriously. On the ecology side, we learn many bad news everyday ; icecoat melting, toxic gas spreading and animals disappearing. Many of my friends and family members have had a hard time in October - and me too...

And so what can we do ? "Let's keep smiling...." as Mr Chat seems to suggest :o)

What a great grin your kitty has! Sometimes all we can do is grin and hope things will be better.

This is a very nice page, Helene! I rather think your red, black, and white color scheme is going to turn out wonderfully throughout the BJP year . . .

We can be positive and think of doing our bit for the environment atleast.
I always believe in using less disposables, plastic and avoid the wastage of any natural resource.

That kitty certainly brings a smile!

How does the saying go? When you are at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. If you can do it with a smile, all the better!

It sure seems as though the bad news just keeps coming

Well, Renu, I believe every little bit counts. Even when we are afraid and depressed it is important to keep on doing what we think is right. We are tiny creatures, we don't understand the whole plot of life, bit still we can try and do out bit.

I am glad the kitty made you smile Grace !

I like the rope saying too.

About the bad news, I believe when I can't change things, it is better to relax and find positive things around me. A graffiti, a flower, a sun ray, a beautiful bead... they are little gifts of life. And if I can't relax, I try smiling anyways, people might even smile back (they won't if I scowl) lol

However it reminds me of that famous sketch of Mime Marceau. He mimed a smiling mask and a sad mask, then at one point he couldn't take the smiling mask off and began crying while smiling. Very impressive.

Have a nice day !

I am enjoying the way you have been strengthening the personal style you developed during last year's BJP cycle. I agree with Kathy V. that your limited palette is going to be very rewarding for us viewers as well as your creative spirit.

Thanks Acey. The limited palette is helping me to focus on the graphic side, I think.
