Spirit of Christmas

I know many people feel sad or uncomfortable at this time of year. I love Christmas but feel pessimistic about mankind in general.

Christmas is also the time of year when we celebrate the longest night in the year, and the return of light. Therefore it is a time when we can concentrate on our inner lights... just like Dalaï Lama.

May you and your loved ones experience serenity, love and warmth during the Holidays !

The Dalai Lama is always an inspiration and concentrating on our inner lights is a great way to honor this season.

I noticed in the side bar that you are fond of myth and fairy tale. I'm an Endicott Studio fan and love myth and fairy tale and have read some great books on the subject. Will have to check out some of your links!

Hi Hélène,
I have my own personal problem with Christmas (in short: because I don't have a lot of family and always missing my Dad although I'm more than grown up) but I don't know people besides me who get sad and unhappy. Many complain about the stress they can't resist.

On the pile with my so far packed luggage for the Christmas vacation trip is *of course* a book by the Dalai Lama: The joy of living and dying in peace. I bought this because it matches the theme of my last buddhist seminar, about which I've planned to blog for weeks. Well, next year is coming....

On Friday I will fly over France, so watch out for a plane thats wiggling its wings to greet you. ;-)

I wish you a merry Christmas time for you and your family.

Tally, I wish you a merry Christmas too. I'll be learning German in 2008, so maybe I can write to you in your language then. Enjoy your visit in France ! :o)

Hugs,

Hélène
